Are you looking for an activity that your whole family will love? Are you close to the Great Smoky Mountains? Well, you are in luck! Dollywood is hosting their Great Pumpkin LumiNights Festival until November 3, 2018. This festival started last year and was such a huge hit they decided to host it again this year. Not only that though, but they decided to add to it as well.
Dollywood is a great family activity by itself. They offer something for everyone. They have rides and roller coasters for all ages. Dollywood also offers shows for all ages. There is literally something for everyone. Especially during their different festivals, they host throughout the year.
Great Pumpkin LumiNights is part of Dollywood’s Harvest Festival that is presented Humana. This festival features thousands of carved and illuminated jack-o-lanterns. All of which immerse families in fabulous fall fun. Great Pumpkin LumiNights is the largest addition ever made to Dollywood’s Fall Festival. It features artistic sculptures, whimsical scenes, and delightful, family-friendly fun throughout Dollywood’s Timer Canyon.
This year Great Pumpkin LumiNights started on September 28 and runs until November 3. Which means you still have time to check it out before all the wonderful pumpkin filled fun! But don’t wait too long like we did last year and miss out on all the fun! This is definitely something that you are not going to want to miss out on.
In order to help prepare you for your visit, we took the time to capture pictures of as many of the pumpkin displays as possible. In the daytime and after dark. That way you know what to expect during your visit.
For our visit, we decided to arrive at the park in the afternoon since we knew we weren’t planning on riding a lot of rides. This trip was all about seeing the pumpkins all lit up. There were a few rides that had been added since we last visited Dollywood so we wanted to make sure we had time for those. As well as time to scout out the pumpkin displays before dark when they were all illuminated.
