Last week I had the opportunity to get take some family photos for some of my favorite people. As I’ve said before in this post, Amanda and her family are like family to me. Sometime last month, Amanda told me she was going to be in town and asked that I capture some pictures of her family. Since they are family to me, I was beyond excited to do this for them.

Taking these pictures was a complete blast! Since we’re all family this session was filled with so many laughs and silly moments.

These great people are not camera shy at all and love to have a good time. This shoot was all smiles, giggles, and goofy moments. This is a perfect summary of life with these wonderful people.

These lovebirds are about to celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary next month. The love they share is infectious! You can’t help but smile and be in a good mood when around them.

Since their anniversary is just around the corner, I asked them to bring one of their wedding photos so we see how they and their love has grown over the years.

Amanda and Derek will always be Quella’s babies. Just because they are “Grown-Ups” does not change that fact! These kids love their momma!

Amanda and Derek definitely got their parent’s love of laughter and silliness.

And to all the parents out there just waiting for your kids to grow up so they won’t pick on each other. Good luck! These two may be grown but they still love to mess with each other.

Blake may have joined the family by attempting to steal away Amanda all for himself, but he fits right in with the bunch! These three guys are some of the funniest people you will ever meet in your life! Their love of laughter and all things mischievous is unmatched!

While I had them in front of my camera, I had to grab a few shots of my bestie and her hubby by themselves. Since wanting to venture into photography, Amanda has always been willing to be my model. Amanda has always been a supportive friend so I wanted to make sure she had all the shots her heart could desire.

She of course though is her father’s daughter so we also had some goofy shots as well.

This has to be one of my favorite shots from this session. Not only because it showcases a beautiful, Godly woman who raised the goofy, funny, sweet, supportive woman that is my best friend, but because she is like a mother to me as well. If I were to ever need anything, I know she is one that I could count on no matter what. I am beyond thankful to have her in my life! She is a blessing to everyone around her and I am humbled to be in that mix.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! In case you are wondering, we held our shoot at the Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum. Since East Tennessee decided to skip spring and jump right into summer, we didn’t have a lot of blooms while at the gardens. We did, however, have lots of lovely greenery and stunning stonework as you can see from the pictures. I look forward to photographing this family again and again.

If you are in the Knoxville area and would like to schedule a session, leave me a comment or reach out on social media! We are on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Youtube. Thank you for reading and God Bless!
