My 4 Favorite Photo Apps

Over the last, let’s say two years, a lot has happened. A lot of moments I wanted to capture and preserve forever. Not every time did have my camera handy. Good thing our phones have amazing cameras in them. With the advancement of the cameras on our phones came more and more photo editing apps. It can be hard to find ones that you like. If you have been keeping up with our blog, you know from this post, that we love our apps.

All the apps I’m going to go over today to different things. All of them are necessary though. It all just depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Three out of four of these apps are free. The one that does cost $3.99. In my opinion, it is 100% worth it! Let’s get started on reviewing those apps now!

1. Lightroom CC

This app is free. There is an option for this that costs. It’s a monthly cost though which is why I haven’t upgraded it yet. The upgraded version does give you a lot more options that are amazing and I want them so there will come a day when I upgrade.

Lightroom CC allows you to apply preset filters. It also allows you to manually adjust things like exposure, saturation, highlights, shadows, temp, and tint. This allows you to take a photo and really make it pop. I like this app best for landscapes or for animals. Okay, I like this app for everything. That is why it is listed first on this list.

2. Facetune

This is the app that costs $3.99. Well, the version that I use costs $3.99. There is a free version but all of the options are not available on it. There is also a Facetune 2 that is out but I’ve not used it much to know what’s all different on it.

This app is great for portraits. You can smooth away wrinkles, whiten teeth, and make the eyes pop. It also has filters and you can adjust the exposure in this app as well.

3. GIF Maker

Who wouldn’t want this? I mean GIFs are great but creating your own GIF is even better!! This app is also free but has a paid version as well. For what I use this app for the free version is perfect. This app is great if you are like me and my best friend are and it takes what feels like 5 minutes to get in place for a picture. You can take all the pictures of everyone getting in place and make a fun GIF of it all.

You can also make GIFs from Live Photos and videos as well.

4. Typorama

Typorama is great for, you guessed it, putting text on photos! I use this for the blog all the time! I also use it for before / after type pictures. There are several options for fonts. To unlock all the features on the app it costs $5.99. Several of the fonts are available on the free one though.

You can resize the fonts, change their color, the fonts even have different layout options. The only thing I have found though is that in order to do multiple texts on a picture you have to do one text at a time.

I hope these apps help you make those memories you capture that much better. If you use these apps already, we’d love to hear about your experience with them. If you read this and decide to try them out, we’d also love to hear about what you think of them!
