Most everyone has heard of YouTube. The majority of people use YouTube for music and How To videos. At least that has been my experience anyway. Over the last few years people have started making videos of various things and now that’s their job. Sounds crazy right? Several people are making a very good living off making videos and putting them on YouTube. Sounds like a blast right? Well, we thought so too! Justin and I started to make YouTube videos not long after we got married. We didn’t and still don’t, think we’d make anything of it. This is just something fun for us to do. Just like this blog is something fun for us to do. We enjoy making these post and making videos. We decided to let this be our platform to reach out to the world and share Jesus. Not only that but for us to share our family and our adventures.
Justin and I originally started our YouTube channel about 6 months into our marriage. We made two videos and then stopped. After a few months of not creating anything, Justin and I decided to start our blog. Once we got that up and running Justin wanted to start back up our YouTube Channel. From the time we made our first two videos and when we started back, we’d decided to change the name of our channel. In doing that we just decided to delete our old one and re-upload our first videos to the new channel. We want our Youtube channel to be an additional resource to our blog. There are times that the content on YouTube matches what is on our blog and times it does not. YouTube has become Justin’s project and this blog has become mine. Therefore you will see a lot of Justin on there and a lot of me on here. We both make appearances on each forum though.
As of now, our YouTube channel has four types of videos on it. Keep reading to learn more about these types of videos!
Drive Time
Once we started our channel back up, Justin started by creating Drive Time. Drive Time started as a way for Justin to get comfortable talking to the camera. These videos are created Monday through Friday while Justin is driving home from work. This has developed into a sort of podcast type video. During these, Justin discusses whatever is on his mind that day. This can be anything from the weather to faith.
Bre Time
Since Justin has Drive Time, we figured I should have something similar to discuss topics that I have on my mind. As of now, Bre Time is on a weekly schedule. That may change in the future, it may not. We will just have to see. Justin’s videos are done in one take while he is trying home. Mine, on the other hand, is done while I am at home so I tend to go through a few takes. This means that I end up with some funny bits that I’ve started to put at the end of my videos.
Bible Bytes
Once Justin got into the groove of making his Drive Time videos, he decided he wanted to make a series that was decided to topics of faith. Bible Bytes come out weekly on Sundays. On it, you can expect to watch videos about anything faith related. Whether it is a Bible verse, a song, or a thought.
Vlogs
Our vlogs are about whatever adventure we are up to at the moment. Sometimes that means it’s about a walk we took or exploring somewhere we haven’t been in a while.
