My Travel Bucket List

Hello travel lovers! It’s that time again. Time to talk about adventure. This week’s post is going to feature some of the places that I personally would love to see. I hope you enjoy this list! I also hope that it inspires you to make your own bucket list and work towards completing that list.

My list is slightly different from Justin’s. That is because he has a fear of flying and that’s okay. I, on the other hand, look forward to the chance to flying. It seems like an adventure in it of itself.

1. Every State in the USA

Since I have the great privilege of calling the United States my home, I would like to visit every state in our great country. Ideally, this would be done on some epic road trip. Sadly, this option isn’t something that I can achieve. Financially, Justin and I, aren’t able to take the time off from work that would be needed in order to complete this task. I mean nonstop driving from Maine to California would take over 2 days of driving. That’s not stopping for anything. It does not include eating, sleeping, or bathroom breaks. Let alone any sightseeing at all.

2. Ireland

Being part Irish, this is a simple enough pick for my first stop out of the county. I will admit, I know nothing of my Irish roots so I don’t really have much of a plan other than I want to visit that beautiful country my family came from. Before the chance to visit comes up, I will be sure to do my research and find some information about what part of Ireland my family lived in that way I can be there. In order to make Ireland a reality though, we first have to get Justin on board with flying.

3. Scotland

Again, since I am part Scottish, I would love to visit Scotland. Recently a couple from our church visited Scotland and it has done nothing but make my longing to visit even stronger. The views! Oh man! The history! Ah! How could you not want to visit? Also, MomLee and I are a bit obsessed with the TV series Reign. Being part Irish and Scottish we love learning more about our history. The series isn’t 100% accurate with history but close enough that it has stirred us to want to learn more and see this beautiful land.

4. Israel

Visiting Israel would be a dream come true! I want to walk on the streets that Jesus walked on. I want to see places where miracles took place. To be able to go to the places mentioned in the Bible, that book that I love so much. Nothing would compare to it. Thankfully I am blessed enough to have people in my church that takes a group about once a year to visit. One day I hope that Justin and I will be able to go with them to this place.

5. Italy

Oh to see the Sistine Chapel! The Leaning Tower of Pisa! This history here! Man, oh man! I don’t know that I that I wouldn’t faint from the excitement of seeing all the history Italy has to offer! I’m not sure that I would be able to not walk around with my jaw on the ground. I mean, how could you if you’ve never seen anything like it before in your life.

6. France

Of course, this one is on my list. I mean what little girl doesn’t dream of going to Paris? Well except the little girls who get to live in Paris. I want the full Paris experience too! I want to do every single touristy thing possible in Paris. Not only do I want Paris, I want the French countryside. I want to explore it all! For this destination, I would do a refresher on the very little French I picked up in my high school French class. Since this is the only foreign language I (kinda) know, I want to be able to use a little of it while visiting.

Thank you so much for reading!
